When u/Blue-Ozone-1870's father passed away he left her his prized ship model. The heirloom, of course, is priceless to u/Blue-Ozone-1870 but also bears a hefty price tag of $3,500 at market value.
When her boyfriend of 6 months came over to visit he brought his friends along with him. As festivities progressed things got rowdy and the boys started tossing pillows around and generally being disrespectful of her place.
u/Blue-Ozone-1870 departed to go clean up in the kitchen and soon heard a crash. She walked out to see her boyfriend clutching the prized model.
Things continued to devolve from there as the boys began playing keep-away with the model which lead to her boyfriend telling her to "kiss him" before he would give it back. The affair culminated in a missed catch and the obliteration of the model.
It doesn't sound like things have been going smoothly since.
The best thing she can do now is send this model mutilator for a walk off the plank.
